O João devia pensar no grilinho.

A liberdade O Grilinho Tenor
A liberdade O Grilinho Tenor
Não é terror Não cantava
Mas prenderam O João soltou-o
O Grilinho Tenor Porque ele precisava
Da sua rapaziada.
O João mentia
Mas sorriu O Grilinho Tenor
Ele amou Estava contente

O Grilinho estava livre Para o Grilinho apanhar
O João todas as noites O grilo contente disse

This year, for the book fair held at school, we work the book O Grilinho Tenor of Palmira Martins, which pressented us with her enjoyable visit.
This is a beautiful story of a little cricket that sang very well and a boy who, when he heard him sing, wanted the cricket only for him. In the course of the story we discuss the question of freedom and imprisonment and the feelings of altruísm and selfishness. It is a very nice story to read and that teaches us a very important lesson about happiness and friendship.
The Grilinho Tenor In Freedom
Was not singing There is no terror
The John set him free But they arrested
Because he needed The Grilinho Tenor
Was free a cricket The Grilinho Tenor
That in a band was the tenor Came out of the cage
In summer festival To sing as
He became a singer singer
Crickets, cicadas and grasshoppers The singer Grilinho
Everything could listen In the cage was unhappy
There in the garden His dream was to sing
All together singing Across the country
The Grilinho was free To take Grilinho
In the garden of John The grandfather was asked
All together That taught him to hunt
To make a song to not let him get away
The Grilinho was free After put him in the cage
And felt happy to sing The cricket he wanted to hear
In the cage not sang But not to see him suffer
Because he was unhappy. he let him get away.
Sara Brandão Ricardo Machado
It was the hottest summer John knowing what was going on
After the warm morning Wanted the cricket to be happy.
John every night The happy cricket said
Heard a cri cri … … That he had met a friend there.
John found this cri ...cri ... John getting sad
Shoved it in a cage didn't bother
And this cri cri … … sang no more Because he got a friend there
Sad and angry, he said thar was unhappy there. And he was glad
By finding a friend there. Ana Catarina
In the end of the activities, we made two books with the title O valor da liberdade (The value of the freedom), with the students poems. One of the books we offered to the author of the book.
The students loved work this story, even more loved singing the song written and composed by School EB1/JI of Francelos which I leave my congratulations for the beautiful song and originality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu3ggrVlgqs
To finish this work in a lovely way, on 6th February we were visited by the author of the book "the Grilinho Tenor", who delighted us with her simplicity and sympathy. The students loved this visit. In the end, of course, there was autograph session.

The Grilinho is not singing because he was sad by beeing inside oh the cage without freedom ti be with the other crickets. Not being able to sing for the rest of us could only sing to the John. And didin't sing because he was not in the fresh weather, because the room was full of heat, by not having to drink. By not being able to be with his family and that's why the grilinho is not singing.

I think why Grilinho does not sing was because John had put him in a cage and he felt trapped and sad and after the exit of the boy he felt lonely, because John has forgotten him and only reminded him at night.
John thought he just sang in the darkness and the grilinho sang in the darkness, because I think he was free and happy, jumping in the garden, eating various vegetable and flowerbeds, but in the cage just had a leaf and little space and it was like being stuck in a tiny cell with no hoppe or anything.
The Grilinho Tenor was very sad and I think that was why he didn't sing nor a single gri gri gri we could heard, was all quiet without anyone or anything to play with.

The Grilinho is not singing because John put him inside a cage and the grilinho no longer wanted to sing. Locked it in the room in the middle of the darkness, the Grilinho was no longer free.
In my opinion the Grilinho could no longer be free. John did not think very well in the freedom of others. The Grilinho was alone and John was playing while the Grilinho was sad, closed and without friends. If he was free, he cold be with his friends. John should think in grilinho. He just went to see the grilinho at night, while by day the Grilinho was closed and without freedom.

I think he was not singing, because John locked up the Grilinho and he lost the desire to sing. The Grilinho was very frightened to be in that cage without freedom.
John did not realize that the Grilinho had no friends, alone without being able to play with.
The Grilinho has only one leaf of lettuce, nothing more nothing less. He likes the fields, but he has nothing of that.
John should realize that cricket has no freedom, has no friends, just a leaf of lettuce, don't have joyful fields, how he can sing?

After reading the texts writen by the students, we continued reading the story and found that the Grilinho did not sang because he was sad for being arrested. Because of that, he couldn't participate in summer concerts. Once we stopped reading the story I asked each student to write, five feelings that the fact of being trapped could trigger. After this task, we share it with each other and did the draw of the Grilinho arrested, writing around what he was feeling at that moment.
We continued reading the story in what John set Grilinho Tenor free. The Grilinho, very happy, begin to sing "Cri, cri, I have a friend here". At the end of the story, students were asked to, once again, speak about feelings. This time, they were asked to write five feelings that the Grilinho would feel when John set him free. At the end they make a drawing, but this time with the Grilinho Tenor in freedom, writing the feelings he was experiencing at that moment.
After the discovery of the wonderful feelings that freedom and do well to the next make to us, it was proposed to the students to write a short poem about Grilinho's life and freedom. Their poetic vein emerged and here are some results!
Freedom makes you want I like the freedom
Dream and fly The meaning of truth
The air breeze Of love and peace
Where freedom is courage And the feeling it brings
When we are stuck Freedom
Feel a weigh It is Essential
Falling on us As State law.
We have to forget Catarina Fernandes
To you who tell us to give up.
